Here at Dobbins high school, we have many different shops. One of the most technical shop is Computer Information Science & Technology. In this shop our students work with basic structure of the computer, such as the interior of the PC tower. Also, they learn how to build websites using some of the biggest programs today; Adobe GoLive 6, Top Style and Homesite. Using these programs will help our students understand how a HTML document is made and how it works. Other programs that are taught at Dobbins C.T.E include ,Java, C++, Visual Basics, and Python. The Web Design program equips students with the skills needed to advance in the field of Web Design. Students learn Design, e-commerce, scripting, and authorizing skills as well as basic HTML coding for creating web pages. In addition, they receive hands-on instructions in using Adobe software; Go Live, Photoshop, Illustrator, Live Motion and Premiere. Students learn to effectively use fonts, photography, animation and other important basics of proper design in classes.
