Our Food Service Program prepares students for the vast opportunities in food service Industries. All students receive training to introduce them to the various career choices in the industry. In our up-to-date kitchen and dining facilities, you can prepare for a career in a stable, profitable, large industry. We offer the perfect atmosphere to learn such skills as quantity cooking, purchasing and inventory control, menu planning, safety and sanitation, serving skills, and dining room and kitchen management, including table waiting, cashiering, and assisting chefs, caterers, and dietitians. These activities prepare our graduates to go on for culinary degrees, military service and directly into food service career positions. Students who participate in the Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), also get additional opportunities to learn high level skills and to compete for scholarships and apprenticeships with some of the finest restaurants in the city.
