Artist in Residence
- Overview and philosophy: The Home and School
Association in cooperation with the Music and Arts teachers
invites an external Artist-in-Residence each year to join and
enrich our school community. This partnership compliments our
commitment to and appreciation of the arts as a key part of our
student's education. Each residency is typically an intensive
6-8 weeks and takes place in the Spring.
Community-based artists, rostered with the Pennsylvania Council
of the Arts, integrate their work into the curriculum, teach small
core groups of students elements of self-expression and artistic
endeavor as well as work in their media.
