Curriculum

The School District of Philadelphia Curriculum is rigorous, standards-driven, and the core subject goals are uniform district-wide. The curriculum is updated regularly, with the specific goals of:

  • Alignment with PA State Standards
  • Reflecting age appropriateness and grade level proficiency
  • Inclusion of all cultural perspectives and recognition of our diverse populations and their contributions

At Jenks, this curriculum is supported by additional opportunities for learning that are organized at the school level. These include instruction in music, art, computers, physical education, ESL, a gifted and talented program, and a special needs program.
