Art Education plays a central role in fostering creativity, devleoping imagination, enabling students to envision alternative possibilities by enhancing problem solving in other areas and improving self-esteem. Our art program explores the use of a variety of techniques and materials, expands student knowledge of artists and their works, and links art projects with other subject areas. Starting in Kindergarten and continuing through 8th grade, each student participates in a weekly art class with a certified art teacher, and interested students can expand their participation through the Artist in Residence program, art-related field trips, and extracurricular activities.
