Born and raised in the farmlands of York, PA, Mr. Andrew Leland has relocated to the big city of Philadelphia permanently to join the faculty and staff at J.S. Jenks teaching JAM music, 6th-8th grade music, and 5th - 8th grade FLEX (Foreign Language Experience) classes. Mr. Leland holds both B.Mus and M.Mus degrees from Temple University with first in Music Education and the latter in Music History with a research focus on 19th century American music. Mr. Leland continues to share his passion for music, educationa nd history with the Jenks community by furthering his own education as an active member of the Pennsylvania Music Educator's Associationand AMerican Musicoligacal Society.
