2nd Grade Reading Activity
Parents please read the book "I'm Special, I'm Me" by Ann Meek.with your
child and discuss Milo, the main character. Talk about the events of the
story and ask your child how they think Milo feels throughout the story.
Activity
Make a poster(24 by 36 inch) of a Character Chart about Milo.
On one half, show Milo as one of the characters he portrays in the story.
You might design a knight's suit of armor for Milo. Think about the positive
traits of this character and list four of them on the poster.(strong, brave,
helpful, etc.)
On the other half, draw a picture of yourself and write four positive traits
about you.
Color the poster and bring it to school on the first day in September.
