Welcome to the Joseph Leidy Elementary School website! We hope that your visit with us will be informative. Leidy School is a small K-5 school located in the East Parkside Historic area. We have a dedicated staff and very nice children and parents that "strive for excellence."

Our mission statement is to provide all students with the educational skills and

tools needed to be productive and engaged citizens. We maintain high expectations with the belief that all students will reach their potential as we understand the practices and conditions necessary to promote academic progress.

In this effort, we offer after school tutorial and enrichment programs. During the day, students are actively engaged in higher order thinking and problem solving skills. We have a deliberate and intense focus on the teaching of reading and mathematics.
