Greetings from Pollock School. Our school family prides itself on the positive atmosphere and the rigorous curriculum we offer our students. We believe that students succeed when standards are set high. Teachers at Pollock work extremely hard on behalf of the students. Lessons which can meet the individual learning styles of the students, as well as challenge everyone to think and to be creative are key to our daily learning activities. We also stress citizenship skills of the future, including problem solving, peer support, respect and responsibility. Parents of Pollock students are encouraged to work along with staff through support for the school's mission, and by holding their children accountable. I have enjoyed being a Philadelphia school administrator for the last sixteen years, and I was very happy to come to Pollock School to serve as Principal almost ten years ago.One of the reasons that I feel deeply committed to our school is that I grew up not far from Pollock, and still live in the nearby community. Here is a picture of me at the age of two on my grandfather's farm, which was then located on Ashton Road.
