What is Bullying?
The School District of Philadelphia follows a clearly outlined definition of bullying when determining how to proceed with incidents and situations. The District defines a bully as a person or group of people who repeatedly attempt to harm someone who is weaker, or who they consider to be weaker. Sometimes bullying involves a direct attack such as hitting, name calling, teasing or taunting. Sometimes bullying is indirect, such as spreading rumors or influencing other students against someone.
