\nOur holistic school design seeks to address the intellectual, social and emotional needs of all of our students. Through our advisory model, students focus on essential personal qualities for community and successful living, advisory reading, passion projects, and plans for student-directed learning.<\/p>\n
\nAs an Early College & Passion Based School it is important for students to become excellent communicators. The Academy Canon \u2013 which are must reads for our students (e.g. Richard Wright\u2019s Native Son, Ralph Ellison\u2019s The Invisible Man, Toni Morrison\u2019s The Bluest Eye, Po Bronson\u2019s What Should I Do With My Life?, Jeff Olson\u2019s The Slightest Edge, and Dennis Kimbro\u2019s Think & Grow Rich) \u2013 enables students to become intimately familiar with rich text while simultaneously learning the keys for self-empowerment and fulfillment of passion and purpose.<\/p>\n
