Harrisburg University

Program Description:

Harrisburg University (HU) has partnered with The School District of Philadelphia to provide students with an opportunity to take college courses through the College in the High School Model. This model allows students to take college courses at their school during the school day. Courses are taught by high school teachers who are interviewed and vetted to become adjunct professors through HU. The approved college courses go through a curriculum review process to ensure college alignment and count toward credit for courses at Harrisburg University.

Courses will take place at partnering high schools

Student Criteria:

Grade: 11th and 12th grade students

GPA Requirement: None

Other: Counselor/Teacher recommendation

Eligible Schools: Roxborough High School, Motivation High School, Philadelphia Military Academy, Northeast High School, Bodine High School, Building 21, Martin Luther King High School, Franklin Learning Center, Robeson High School, Vaux Big Picture High School, Parkway West.

Spring Semester Dates:

September 2021 – June 2022
