Searching for money to fund your postsecondary path? We can provide you with information on the many scholarship opportunities out there.
Scholarships are financial aid awards designed to help students pay for college. Sometimes a scholarship is a one-time check. Other college scholarships are renewable and provide money for students each semester or school year. These awards differ from student loans in that they don’t have to be repaid.
Scholarships can come from your high school or the college you will be attending, your church, your bank or outside organizations and corporations.
All scholarships are different, and the way you apply for each will be different. For example, they may require the submission of an essay and/or your SAT/ACT scores. Being selected for, or awarded, a scholarship may be in part based on your participation in sports or extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership positions.
It is never too early to begin looking for scholarships.
