School District Announces Temporary Schedule Change for Free Student Meal Distribution

PHILADELPHIA – The School District of Philadelphia today announced there will be a temporary change to next week’s free student meal distribution schedule. The 49 District schools serving as free meal distribution sites will not be open on Monday, April 13, 2020.

Instead, the sites will be open on the following schedule:

  • Tuesday, April 14, 2020, from 9 a.m. to noon
  • Thursday, April 16, 2020, from 9 a.m. to noon

Families will be able to pick up six meals per student (including three breakfast and three lunch meals), in addition to the second phase of the Learning Guides, which are also posted on the District’s website.

The regular meal distribution schedule (Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon) will resume the following week on Monday, April 20, 2020.
