CTE Alumni

Get Another Chance At Earning Industry Certifications; Make up for missed time!

Were you unable to obtain CTE Industry Certifications due to COVID-19 closures?

You can regain that lost opportunity

Through Philadelphia’s CTE programs, students have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications related to their respective career focus. Earning an industry certification has many benefits. It gives students a sense of accomplishment, a highly valued professional credential, and helps students become more employable with higher starting salaries. Depending on their chosen CTE program, students in Philadelphia may earn Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS); A+; Cisco; First Aid & CPR; OSHA; S/P2; ServSafe; Adobe and many others. The School District of Philadelphia offers over 50 industry-recognized certifications to CTE students.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 closures that impacted our schools during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years, many of our CTE students never had the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications prior to graduating from high school. Now, we are reaching out to you to share the good news – the School District of Philadelphia is planning to offer the opportunity for 2020 and 2021 CTE graduates to earn their industry-recognized certification in 2022!
