GIRLS WHO CODE FREE SUMMER IMMERSION PROGRAM LAUNCHES IN PHILADELPHIA
Girls Who Code, a leading national non-profit with the mission to close the gender gap in technology, opens its Summer Immersion Program application in mid-January. Our Summer Immersion Program takes place at leading tech companies, giving girls an opportunity to gain exposure to computer science skills and careers!
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO 10TH AND 11TH GRADE GIRLS, GUIDANCE COUNSELORS AND STEM EDUCATORS
WHO: 10thand 11thgrade girls who have not taken AP Computer Science are eligible to apply, no computer science experience required. (Girls who have taken AP computer science are ineligible.)
WHAT: the Summer Immersion Program is a free 7-week full time non-residential program during weekdays in the summer, teaching computer science skills and providing girls with access to tech careers. The program offers up to a $1,400 stipend for eligible girls!
WHERE: PwC offfice
DEADLINES: Application opens in mid-January. Early application deadline is February 15th. Second round application/final deadline is March 15th.
HOW TO APPLY: Girls should apply starting in mid-January at girlswhocode.com/SIPapply There are no GPA requirements or recommendations required. This is an easy online application.
