In her own words,<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What an amazing year Philly just had at our PA HOSA State Leadership Conference!<\/p>\n<p>Lincoln High School won bronze for their Public Health event!<\/p>\n<p>Kensington Health Science Academy won silver for their Public Health event!\u00a0 KHSA also took bronze in Public Service Announcement.<\/p>\n<p>FLC was proud to take medals in Health Informatics, Public Service Announcement, Medical Innovation, Prepared Speaking, Researched Persuasive Speaking and Public Service Announcement.\u00a0 In addition, we are excited to once again have a PA HOSA state officer from Philadelphia &#8211; Connor McFarland-Maldonado.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, it was an excellent year and Philadelphia was well represented by all of our students who were unbelievably professional, and if I do say so [myself], quite charming as well.\u00a0We look forward to slaying the [International Leadership Conference] in Nashville. Big shout out to Monique Adkins, Erin Flynn-Klepczynski, Jena Harris and Fran McAdams who went above and beyond at the conference to ensure that our students had an excellent time. It was quite a whirlwind, and I hope they all put their feet up this past weekend and took a nap!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For context, HOSA \u2013 Future Health Professionals is a career and technical student organization (CTSO) that helps prepare students to enter the healthcare field. There is a charter of HOSA in all 50 states, and PA\u2019s HOSA holds an annual conference\u2014the State Leadership Conference\u2014 where high school and college students of health occupations gather to learn, network, and compete!<\/p>\n<p>And compete they did.
