School Hours
School begins each day at 8:30 A.M. and closes at 3:05 P.M. Kindergarten students are dismissed at 2:45. Kindergarten students must be supervised by a parent/caregiver at all times prior to the school day while in the schoolyard.
Dismissal
Students will be dismissed to the schoolyard by 3:05 P.M. Teachers will escort the students to the schoolyard.
Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up
All parents must be considerate of our neighbors. Please DO NOT double park or BLOCK the driveways of our neighbors. The police will be contacted for those who do not comply. Parents are welcome to use the upper parking lot. Orange Caution Cones are placed in the schoolyard to ensure the safety of our children.
Attendance and/or Absence
Greenberg boasts an average daily attendance rate of 96%. Punctuality and good attendance are two of the basic principles of good work habits and ensure a student’s success in school. Poor attendance and lateness becomes a barrier to learning.
Late Policy
Students arriving to school after 8:30 A.M. are considered late and must obtain a late note from the office. Lateness is indicated on the official school records. Students arriving after 9:00 A.M. must be accompanied by an adult.
Early Dismissal
It is imperative that your child remains in school the entire day. Medical appointments should be scheduled after school and/or during school closures. If your child needs to be dismissed early, he or she must bring in a written note signed by the parents stating the time and reason for the early dismissal.
