Message from the Principal

Melissa Bragg- Principal

Dear Hancock Families,

It is our privilege to welcome your children to the John Hancock Demonstration Schools for the 2023-2024 school year. We look forward to a school year filled with new opportunities for your children to learn, build relationships, and create wonderful memories. This year, we hope to build upon the momentum we developed in 2022-2023. We are striving for all of our students to attend school 95%  or more each month. We finished the year with 44% of our students attending 95% or more of the school days each month and 74% attending 90%.  We want to see your children in school if they can attend; late is better than absent. We are working hard to create and maintain a learning environment where everyone feels safe, seen, and cared for. This is truly the service of our work. There is an African Proverb that states, “It takes a village to raise a child.” We are proud to be part of your child’s village and look forward to partnering with you to ensure their continued growth and success. Please continue to check our website for the most up-to-date information and visit the Office of Family and Community Engagement to join the Parent Portal so you can stay connected to your student’s progress and review family resources provided by the School District.

I look forward to working with you all this year. Go Huskies!

Yours in Service,

Melissa Bragg, Principal
