Resources for Parents

Students and parents in a computer lab within a library

OMCP is here to support students and their families. Parents are our partners.

Dear Parents,

Thank you for visiting our web page. It is our privilege to serve you and your family. We have put together a set of resources to help you navigate the school system if your children are in the ESOL or Dual Language program. We would also like to support you in strengthening your language skills or simply finding interesting opportunities in the city if you are a newcomer to Philadelphia.

As you browse this website, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions regarding our resources or offices. Also, we encourage you to ask for the Parent Resource Center at your child’s school.

We hope you find the resources below helpful.

Parent Resources

  • Multilingual Assessment Center (MAC)

MAC helps students and families from immigrant and refugee communities navigate the enrollment and assessment processes.

  • Bilingual/Dual Language Programs

Bilingual/Dual Language Programs put native English speaking students and native Spanish speaking students together for a shared learning experience.

  • Related Offices

OMCP works closely with other District offices to help your children

  • External Resources

Parents may choose to expand their child's learning experience with these programs not related to the District.
