Parents as Partners

At OEC parents are our #1 partners. Your time, trust, and voice are all extremely valuable to us and we are grateful that you chose to send your children to OEC. If you’re a parent or family member who is looking to get involved, there are plenty of ways you can do that.

• Join our Home and School Association (HSA) – an amazing opportunity to support OEC through hosting exciting events and fundraisers as well as work with other parents to discuss important topics related to OEC. • Come in for a School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting – The SAC is a peer elected, collaborative team that works to improve student achievement, effective teaching in the classroom, and parent and community engagement in the educational process. If you’re interested in joining – reach out to Ms. Foote at mfoote@philasd.org
• Join us for our family engagement events – Hosted throughout the year, we will be offering workshops for families and community members. Join us for our Parent Breakfasts and Walkthroughs, offered in the morning and afternoon.
• Stop by to volunteer or just check in – Whether it’s to spend some time supporting in one of our classrooms or at an OEC event, taking a tour, or just stopping in to say hello.. we welcome all and our doors are always open.
