Christina Grant


Christina Grant is the Assistant Superintendent of the Opportunity Network and the Innovation Network  for The School District of Philadelphia. In this role, Christina supports and oversees the work of 35 schools/program and supports the Alternative Education team and the Office of New Schools.

The Assistant Superintendent of the Opportunity Network and Innovation Network provides systems, instructional and talent management leadership and support to the school/programs leaders in the network.  The Assistant Superintendent also works with the various central offices of the School District and fellow Assistant Superintendents to collaborate on initiatives and to support the goals of the Superintendent.

Christina has built a background in education ranging from school district, education non-profits, charter schools and education advocacy. She was the founding Superintendent of The Great Oaks Foundation opening schools in New York, Connecticut and Delaware. She has been a German Marshall Fund Fellow, a role in which she served as a liaison between the United States and several European students.  She is an alum of Teach For America, beginning her career as a Middle School English teacher in Harlem, NY.
Christina earned a BA at Hofstra University, an MEd from Fordham University in Adolescent English, and an MEd from Columbia University in Organizational Leadership.
Christina serves with/for the following organizations: Democracy Preparatory Endurance Charter School, the Council of Urban Professionals, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The Links, Inc.
