Early Dismissal of Students

Early dismissals may be granted for extenuating circumstances.  Parents/Guardians who are on file are expected to come to school with proper identification to pick up the student for early dismissals.  Students leaving the building must be signed out of school by their parent or guardian.

Students shall bring a note from a parent or guardian requesting an early dismissal.  The note shall include telephone number and time for contact. The note must be given to the administrative designee IN ADVANCE.  The administrative designee or secretary will verify information on note before approving early dismissal. Medical appointments should be scheduled after the school day.  Students receiving early dismissals should wait for pick-up in the main office prior to the beginning of the period. In order to avoid class disruptions, except for emergencies, parents/caretakers picking up students must wait until the passing of classes.

Students must carry the dismissal note when departing the building to further verify the reason why the student is not in school.  Truancy Taskforce Police may detain students without the early dismissal approval note and school ID.
