About

Our Mission

Empower schools to build strengths and resiliency that open pathways to learning

Our Vision

Spreading the power of compassionate relationships to improve educational outcomes

The Office of Prevention and Intervention partners with schools to support the behavioral needs of students. We work with school staff, counselors, parents and students to shape a better learning environment for all students, of all abilities and needs. We assist schools in developing the tools, systems and resources they need to create safe, compassionate and effective learning environments. Our practices are trauma-informed and evidence-based.  We partner with the schools and other support structures in Philadelphia, such as the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbilities Services, Community Behavioral Health, and other children and youth programs throughout the city.  Together, we provide the support that students need to thrive, learn and grow as healthy, happy and successful members of our community.
