The school counselor leads the team for identifying behavior intervention strategies.

The School District of Philadelphia Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) for behavior is a framework for evidence-based interventions aimed at preventing, addressing and monitoring behavior and behavioral health concerns.  The school counselor takes the lead when it comes to guiding the leadership team to formulate behavioral intervention strategies for students who do not respond to universal  Tier 1 strategies.  The Office of Prevention & Intervention provides the counselor and the leadership team with training, consultation and support to ensure that the interventions are implemented with fidelity and that progress is being monitored.
