Big Picture Alliance<\/strong><\/p>\n

About the Program:<\/a> – The Summer Teen Media Program is a 6-week intensive where teens (ages 14-18), from across Philadelphia, collaborate on original films from script-to-screen. Students learn screenwriting, acting, directing, cinematography, audio and editing under the mentorship of professional filmmakers. The program offers students professional development opportunities through field trips, pitch sessions with industry professionals, and a culminating screening where they present their work to the public. Students receive a stipend for participation. No previous experience is required. – Watch last year’s program video here!<\/a><\/p>\n

The Summer Teen Media Program is a partnership between the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Big Picture Alliance, and Esperanza Academy Charter School, funded by the Reliance Matrix Foundation.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

WHYY<\/strong><\/p>\n

WHYY\u2019s Media Labs program is a media instruction partnership with the School District of Philadelphia and other schools located in the Philadelphia region, South Jersey and Delaware. Over the course of eight years, WHYY has engaged has engaged over 20,000 students in over 65 schools throughout Philadelphia and Camden, New Jersey in hands-on media arts training through the program. Now WHYY is connecting Media Labs students to jobs in the industry through the Pathways to Media Careers program.\u00a0 Link<\/a><\/p>\n

February 18th and will be held at WHYY. WHYY is located in Old City in Philadelphia, a short walk from the Patco.<\/p>\n
