This is the second report exploring these survey responses from 2020-21. The first report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.philasd.org\/research\/2022\/05\/05\/responses-to-new-diversity-equity-and-inclusion-dei-questions-on-the-district-wide-survey-2020-21\/\">can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After analyzing school-level topic scores containing the new questions, key findings include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) topic scores are moderately correlated with Climate, Instruction, and Leadership topic scores on the District-Wide Surveys.<\/li>\n<li>School-level student and teacher demographics were related to school-level student DEI scores but not teacher DEI scores.<\/li>\n<li>Student DEI scores were related to school-level student achievement on the math interim assessment but not the reading interim assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Teacher DEI scores were not related to school-level teacher retention rates after controlling for other school-level factors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_btn title=&#8221;CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE REPORT&#8221; style=&#8221;gradient-custom&#8221; gradient_custom_color_1=&#8221;#0b315b&#8221; gradient_custom_color_2=&#8221;#398635&#8243; align=&#8221;center&#8221; button_block=&#8221;true&#8221; link=&#8221;url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.philasd.org%2Fresearch%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F90%2F2022%2F09%2FDEI-Scores-on-the-2020-21-District-Wide-Survey-and-School-Trends-September-2022.pdf&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In spring 2021, new questions related to the topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) were added to the District-Wide Surveys.
