In 2021-22, ORE received responses from 6,075 seniors at 75 District high schools, representing 66% of enrolled 12th grade students.<\/p>\n<p>Responses indicated that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>78.9% of respondents intended to pursue post-secondary education within one year after high school.<\/li>\n<li>Nearly 80% of the 12th graders who intended to pursue post-secondary education also intended to work (either full-time or part-time) while in school.<\/li>\n<li>52.3% of students who intended to pursue post-secondary education planned to attend a 4-year college or university.<\/li>\n<li>The most popular choices of major were Health and Medicine; Science, Math, and Technology; and Business.<\/li>\n<li>The COVID-19 pandemic continued to influence students\u2019 post-graduation plans; 23.1% of students who intended post-secondary education within one year of graduation, and 29.5% of students who did not intend post-secondary education within one year of graduation indicated that their plans after high school changed because of COVID-19.<\/li>\n<li>Over 75% of respondents somewhat agreed or strongly agreed that adults at their school helped them apply for college.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_btn title=&#8221;CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE SLIDE DECK&#8221; style=&#8221;gradient-custom&#8221; gradient_custom_color_1=&#8221;#0b315b&#8221; gradient_custom_color_2=&#8221;#398635&#8243; align=&#8221;center&#8221; button_block=&#8221;true&#8221; link=&#8221;url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.philasd.org%2Fresearch%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F90%2F2024%2F01%2F2021-22-Senior-Exit-Survey-District-Level-Report-Slide-Deck-May-2023.pdf&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n<h6>Corrections:<\/h6>\n<h6>The version of this slide deck posted in May 2023 contained a mislabeled figure on slide 20.
