{"id":26445,"date":"2025-07-31T16:30:21","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T20:30:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.philasd.org\/research\/?p=26445"},"modified":"2026-02-05T16:47:33","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T21:47:33","slug":"strategic-action-5-12-benchmarking-sdp-against-the-council-of-great-city-schools-key-performance-indicators","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.philasd.org\/research\/2025\/07\/31\/strategic-action-5-12-benchmarking-sdp-against-the-council-of-great-city-schools-key-performance-indicators\/","title":{"rendered":"Strategic Action 5.12 &#8211; Benchmarking SDP Against the Council of Great City Schools Key Performance Indicators"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Priority Area 5 of the School District of Philadelphia&#8217;s strategic plan, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.philasd.org\/strategicplan\/\">Accelerate Philly<\/a>, is to &#8220;deliver efficient, high-quality, cost-effective operations.&#8221; To this end, Strategic Action 5.12 requires that we &#8220;benchmark District performance against other large urban districts, utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cgcs.org\/\">Council of the Great City Schools<\/a> (CGCS) in: Academics, Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Operations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Of the <a href=\"https:\/\/resources.finalsite.net\/images\/v1757436048\/cgcsorg\/cxxl92mrlyeziwgcc0kv\/AcademicKPIReportYearFullReport_10_07.pdf\">KPIs published by CGCS<\/a>, we selected 18 academic and operational KPIs to benchmark SDP against other large urban districts. The KPIs selected cover the areas of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Secondary Achievement<\/li>\n<li>Attendance<\/li>\n<li>Discipline<\/li>\n<li>Human Resources<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance and Operations<\/li>\n<li>Financial Management<\/li>\n<li>Procurement<\/li>\n<li>Safety and Security<\/li>\n<li>Food Services<\/li>\n<li>Information Technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We selected the 25 districts that participated in the 2022 Trial Urban District Assessment (TUDA) as our district peer group.
