As we come to the end of a long and unprecedented week, we want to take a moment to thank Superintendent Hite, and the many teachers, principals, and school communities who have jumped in feet first to serve our students and communities in this difficult time. As always, student learning remains our first priority, and we are proud of the many innovative ways our schools are finding to reach out and provide learning opportunities for students across the city. We know this is a challenging time for parents and caregivers as well; and as this situation evolves, we ask that our communities give our District and schools time to find effective solutions that will serve students in new and creative ways.\u00a0 While we hope that this will not be a long-term reality, we know that our District, schools and community are up for meeting any challenge in innovative and equitable ways that support our students.
