Pandemic EBT - UPDATES

The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) will help families cover the cost of breakfasts and lunches their children would have been eligible to receive for free or at reduced price through the National School Lunch Program.

Originally created through the Families First Coronavirus Response Act to help families feed their children during the spring of 2020 when schools initially closed..

Does my child qualify for P-EBT?

Students are eligible IF they:

  1. Are signed up for the Free and Reduced-Price School Meals program
    AND
  2. Have had a COVID-related disruption of in-person learning (such as absences of 5 school days in a row or classroom closures.)

Philadelphia School District Students:

The District offers free meals for all, and you are automatically signed up for the Free and Reduced-Price School Meals Program.

Please note, if your child is a new student (entered kindergarten in fall 2021 or is new to the district), benefits will be sent to the mailing address that was in the district’s student information system as of June 2022.
