Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board

The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board(SSAB) is a group of high school students throughout the district who discuss issues that affect students and come up with solutions to problems.  Members meet bi-monthly throughout the school year with the Superintendent, Dr. William Hite, and are advisors that act as liaisons between The Philadelphia School District and the students of that district.  Schools may send the names of their student representatives to studentleaders@philasd.org.  Past topics discussed by student advisory board include: student leadership, school dropout rate, communication/messaging, school climate, mentoring, Diversion Program, and School Police Officer relationships.
