Registration for K-12 Teacher Induction is open now!

K-12 Teacher Induction is a program provided by the School District of Philadelphia which fulfills one of three requirements by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to convert a Level I instructional certificate to a Level II instructional certificate. All Level I certified teachers must convert to Level II within 6 years of full-time teaching in PA.

Induction is geared toward teachers in their novice years, but it is most recommended for teachers in years 2-6 of teaching. Teacher Induction provides a foundation for pedagogy grounded in education equity, building strong relationships with students, and planning and implementing lessons that foster deep engagement. This program also provides participants with the opportunity to create a professional network with teachers across the district who serve similar students.
