The Teachers Institute of Philadelphia’s fall 2021 Curriculum Laboratory is a streamlined version of its traditional seminar program. Participants (called fellows) will acquire cutting-edge knowledge from university professors and write original curriculum units based on the material they have learned. Fellows develop creative ways to teach material required by District, state and national curriculum standards, improving results in the classroom. Seminars meet weekly 4:30-6:30pm, from September to December. Upon successful completion of the program, fellows earn 20 Act 48 credits and a $1,000 stipend. This program is for full-time K-12 teachers from non-charter schools in the School District of Philadelphia.
