K-8 SBTL Support
K-8 School-Based Teacher Leader (SBTL) professional development will provide essential learning opportunities for SBTLs to refine the specific skills and knowledge needed to perform functions of their role. Development will be provided consistently throughout the school year and will be lead by the Office of Teaching & Learning and the Office of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment, as well as other partner offices. Development cues will be taken from SBTLs needs assessment, central office initiatives, as well as seasonal and environmental needs.
K-8 SBTLs will have an opportunity to strengthen and refine their instructional leadership skills and content knowledge during the school year, monthly professional development days. Professional development days will also provide K-8 SBTLs the opportunity to participate in peer lead Professional Learning Community (PLC).
