Welcome 2024

January 1, 2024

Dear William Dick Parents/Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the holiday season. As we approach the new year, I am thrilled to share some exciting news and essential reminders.

Firstly, I am grateful for your continued support and partnership in fostering a positive and enriching learning environment for our students. Your commitment to your child’s education is commendable, and we look forward to a fantastic year ahead.

Change is on the horizon, and with the upcoming new year, we are also preparing for a relocation to a new school building, the Anna Pratt campus, at 2200 N. 22nd Street, 19132. This move brings new opportunities and a fresh start for our students and staff. We are confident that this change will enhance the overall educational experience and create an even more conducive learning environment for the 18-24 months we are expected to be at this site as upgrades take place to the William Dick campus.

With this transition, I want to emphasize the importance of regular attendance and punctuality. Attending school every day and arriving on time, at 9:00 AM or 8:30 AM for breakfast,  is crucial for your child’s academic success. Consistent attendance ensures that students take advantage of valuable instruction and opportunities for learning. We kindly request your cooperation in ensuring that your child comes to school promptly each day.

Additionally, I would like to remind all parents and guardians about the school uniform policy. Wearing uniforms fosters a sense of unity, equality, and pride among our students. It also eliminates distractions related to clothing choices, allowing students to focus on their studies. We appreciate your support in ensuring that your child adheres to the school uniform guidelines.

In emergencies, we understand that early dismissals may be necessary. However, we kindly request that such instances be kept to a minimum to ensure that students benefit from the full scope of their educational experience. Please notify your child’s teacher in advance or call the main office to notify the school of the early dismissal. Due to safety concerns, we will not honor early dismissals after 2:45 PM.

Your partnership is invaluable to us, and we are confident that together, we can make this transition smooth and positive for everyone involved. Your active involvement and support are crucial to our school’s success. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the upcoming changes, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to a fantastic new year filled with growth, learning, and success!

Sincerely,
Stacie Beverly-Prince
