Graduation Requirements

Credits

The minimum credit requirements for graduation are as follows. Note that students must complete the minimum in each area. In some cases, specific courses are required and are noted here.

• 4.0 Credits of English (English 1, 2, 3, and 4)
• 4.0 Credits of Social Studies (World History, African American History, American History, and a Social Science)
• 3.0 Credits of Math (Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2)
• 3.0 Credits of Science (usually Physical Science, Biology, and Chemistry)
• 2.0 Credits of a World Languages (usually Spanish 1 and 2)
• 2.0 Credits of Arts & Humanities (usually Art 1 and 2)
• 4.0 Credits of Electives, including one in either Math or Science (e.g., Statistics, Environmental Science, or other)
• 1.5 Credits of Physical Education and Health
• Successful completion and presentation of a Senior Project as determined by school faculty and administration.

Note: Students often have completed multiple credits at other schools prior to enrolling at Pennypack. Based on the requirements above, our staff strives to create customized plans of study to address each student’s unique situation. Please contact our office with questions about specific cases.
