Board of Education for the School District to meet on July 9th

PHILADELPHIA — The Board of Education for the School District of Philadelphia will hold its first public meeting on Monday, July 9th at 5 p.m.  The meeting will take place in the auditorium (2nd floor) of the School District of Philadelphia’s Education Center at 440 N. Broad Street. During the meeting, members will elect officers and address other general business. A meet and greet with the public will be held immediately after the meeting.

Members of the public who wish to speak during the Board of Education should call (215) 400-4180 by 10 a.m. on Monday, July 9. Materials for the meeting can be accessed here: philasd.org/boardofeducation.

On July 1, the School District’s Office of Student Support Services will start accepting applications for a non-voting student representative, as well as an alternate student representative, to sit on the new Board of Education.  Instructions for how to apply will be on the Board of Education webpage on the School District’s website.
