Homeownership Readiness Program

Good as Gold Foundation’s 9-month journey to prepare you for the responsibilities and opportunities of homeownership

Advance Your Education & Career Goals

Graduate Philadelphia provides advising, career guidance, and support to help adult learners finish their education and move forward.

Programs

Graduate Philly

Many adult learners face challenges balancing their learning and career goals with responsibilities and limited resources.

These challenges often prevent them from completing postsecondary credentials or from seeking career advancement opportunities.

Graduate Philadelphia resources, advising services, and wraparound support network help adult learners to navigate options, enroll in programs, identify financial resources for learning, and benefit from persistence to completion support.

Graduate Philadelphia’s core services will be available, as well as other learning opportunities that are custom or exclusive to District families. Career Integrated Learning Advising, which includes professional support, wraparound services, motivation, and accountability through a learner’s journey.

Families can participate in programs such as:

  • Google Micro-credentials around AI Essentials and Entrepreneurship
  • Resume-writing and Job Search Support
  • Job Fairs and Opportunities that lead to employment in the School District of Philadelphia and beyond

Good as Gold – Golden Keys Homeownership Readiness Program

The Good as Gold Foundation’s Golden Keys Homeownership Readiness Program is a nine-month series of in-person and virtual workshops designed to prepare participants for the responsibilities and opportunities of homeownership. The program takes a comprehensive approach, covering every stage of the homeownership journey—from building financial stability to understanding the closing process.

Through expert-led workshops, participants will receive practical guidance on budgeting, banking, savings, credit repair, grant programs, and the entire process of homeownership. They will also benefit from a one-time one-on-one session with a credit expert who will provide individualized reviews of credit reports and a customized action plan for improvement. Additional hands-on experiences, such as home walk-throughs with realtors, ensure that participants gain both knowledge and real-world perspective.
