State immunization requirements for the 2017-2018 school year have changed.  If your child isn’t up-to-date when school starts, they’ll now have 5 days to get the next dose of the vaccine that they need, and provide a medical plan to get up-to-date. Vaccines are required on the first day of school.

 

Some of the biggest changes are that a dose of the Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4) is needed for 12th grade entry, and that all students require a 4th dose of the Polio vaccine – including one at or after age 4.
