Dear School District of Philadelphia Families,

Today, we welcome our new superintendent, Dr. Tony Watlington. We invite you to take a moment to view a special video message from our new superintendent. Watch the video here, and find the script for the video in numerous languages at www.philasd.org/100days.

As mentioned in the video, our new superintendent’s first priority over the next 100 days is to listen and learn. He wants to get to know our great city, learn what the District does well and where improvement is needed to achieve the Board’s Goals and Guardrails. In that spirit, you are personally invited to join Superintendent Watlington at one of the Listening & Learning sessions that are specially geared to hearing and learning directly from our students and families.

You can find a list of these engagement opportunities, read more about the superintendent’s goals and actions for his first 100 days, monitor his progress in achieving them, and more by visiting www.philasd.org/100days.

We look forward to engaging with you this summer and to welcoming all of our students back to school on Monday, August 29th.

Sincerely,

The School District of Philadelphia
