Dear Parents, Families, and Students,

The School District of Philadelphia is thrilled to announce the 2nd Annual Back-to-School Celebration & Bus Tour! Last year’s SDP Back-to-School celebration was a resounding success! So we are excited to once again tour Philadelphia’s communities to help families prepare for the first day of the 2022-2023 school year – Monday, August 29th.

The Tour is powered by a generous grant from Independence Blue Cross Foundation and brings critical Back-to-School information and services right to your neighborhood. From August 1 through August 20, the bus will travel across Philly hosting ten events, including four exciting Mega-Events co-sponsored by Radio One, Office Depot, My Philly Lawyer, Countrywide Home Care, and Eagles Eye Mobile. At these events you can:

• get a free backpack and school supplies,
• chat with our Street Team Ambassadors to get the back-to-school information you need,
• register your child for PreKindergarten through 12th grade,
• sign up for a Parent Portal account,
• at the four Mega-Events, have your child receive for free the immunizations required to attend school (pre-registration is required),
• and much more.
