Dear School District of Philadelphia Families,

I am happy to announce that registration for School District of Philadelphia Summer Programs is now open for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Registration information for all programs is specific to each program.  Click on the program you want, for more details and registration information. Click here to register today!

This year’s summer programs include exciting new programs such as Career and Technical Educational Middle School Summer Camp and Summer Achievers. Our summer programs provide fun and safe environments for students to maintain and advance their education. Summer programming also helps our young people to maintain the critical skills they learned during the school year.

The comprehensive program offers options for School District of Philadelphia students of all ages – from enrichment-based learning to summer employment opportunities for high schoolers. In addition, the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Children and Families is offering full day summer programming through a new initiative, Summer Achievers, and the School District of Philadelphia is providing the academic component of programming within Summer Achievers. To learn more about the various programs that are available and to register, please visit the summer programs website here.

All current School District of Philadelphia students, including those entering kindergarten in the fall, are eligible and encouraged to register for summer programs. Seats in summer programs are limited and registration does not guarantee enrollment. Registration for most programs opens on April 1st and closes on May 10th. Families and students will be notified about their enrollment status by May 31st. Please review program-specific information here.

I hope you’ll consider registering today to give your child an opportunity to enjoy an enriching and meaningful summer experience. Registration for most programs is open now through May 10th but please check the Summer Programs website for program details and contact information.

Summer programming is one of the ways that the District is acting on its commitment to prepare our children to imagine and realize any future they desire.

In partnership,

Tony B. Watlington Sr., Ed.D.
