Academic Highlights

Global Studies and Expeditionary Learning
As an expeditionary learning school we focus on real-world instructional opportunities. Our scholars have the opportunity to travel locally, nationally, and internationally throughout their K-8 experience. Learning is authentic and engaging, providing scholars with the experiences to broaden their worldview and foster empathy.

Leadership Development
Global Leadership Academy Charter School (GLA) seeks to develop in every K-8 scholar an awareness of his or her own leadership potential and to create a spirit of leadership in the GLA community.

English and Language Arts
As a school committed to building future leaders, we believe that scholars must have the power to read others’ stories and the ability to write their own. Our ELA program emphasizes independent reading, writing, access to high quality texts and deep analysis of literary works.

Cultural Arts
Global Leadership Academy Charter School (GLA) is committed to the arts. Scholars are encouraged to explore art, music, dance, theater and more.
