Academic Highlights

Multicultural Studies
Schoolwide programming immerses students in multiculturalism and an appreciation for diversity, including our Academic Olympics competitions and 12th grade course, Multicultural Seminar, with its culminating multiculural-themed senior projects and cultural presentation and festival.

College Bound
Our college-going culture starts with our first-year course, College Foundations, followed by Junior Seminar and Senior Seminar, all providing intensive, hands-on guidance about successful high school work habits and an introduction to college culture, career exploration, and the college admissions process.

Emphasis on the Arts
Our school’s heavy emphasis on the Arts, with courses in Drama, Art, and Music, provide tremendous performance opportunities with four major theatrical and musical performances per year, as well as a student-created theatrical performance downtown at the Suzanne Roberts Theater.

Character Education
Character Education is infused in our 9th grade seminar class and our commitment to character education continues through graduation. The concepts of personal responsibility, celebrating diversity, serving the community, and educating the whole child are paramount to our school’s culture.
