Academic Highlights

Tech-Integrated Curriculum
Tech-integration is the practice of using technology to enhance instruction across every class offered by the school. The model promotes personalized, project-based, and multi-modal learning.

Technology Resources
To support our tech-integrated model our school has two makerspaces and is in the final stages of creating a multi-user virtual reality learning space. Technology resources in our school include: Two full computer labs, three laptop carts, laser cutter/engraver, two ShopBot CNC routers (desktop and full-sized), multiple 3D printers, Adobe Creative Suite, band saw, drill press, sanders, traditional hand tools, professional level music and video editing hardware and software, and HTC Vive and Oculus Rift VR setups.

Safe and Positive School Community
At TECH Freire we insist that every community member be supported in being true to themselves. We reject violence because we all need to feel safe in order to learn and grow. Our school is positive because students and staff have mutual respect and care for each other – that’s why so many community members refer to our school as a family.
