PRIDE Month
Each June Pride Month holds intentional space to affirm and uplift the diverse LGBTQIA+ community throughout the United States. Initially celebrated in June to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Riots, and serve as a reminder that PRIDE began as a protest in response to police brutality and other injustices against the LGBTQIA+ community. While strides have been made toward mitigating oppression of the LGBTQIA+ community, there is still much to protest. Anti-LGBTQ legislation and acts of hate are increasing in this country which impacts the safety and rights for individuals. Pride Month is a time not only to celebrate the many contributions that the LGBTQIA+ community have given to society, but to also speak out as allies against homophobic/transphobic language and actions that impact this historically marginalized population. Whether you support LGBTQIA+ businesses, engage in Pride events and parades, donate to organizations that support this community, or speak up and engage in political action, Pride Month is a time to come together and show that love is always stronger than hate.at have shaped the American narrative.

Interfaith Mosaic Program
Mosaic Program is an immersive week-long summer program designed to help middle school students build interfaith and intercultural relationships. The Mosaic Program incorporates our Passport to Understanding curriculum where each day students explore one of the practices in the Passport: Be Curious, Welcome In, Venture Out, Stand Tall and Stand With. Students will experience their neighborhoods in new ways as they learn about the religious and cultural diversity of their peers through arts and crafts, games, identity workshops, and immersive site visits to different houses of faith. This program will also provide free lunch each day for students.

Philly Truce Mentorship Opportunity
Philly Truce has a mission to empower African American men with the tools, resources, and support they need to achieve Sustainable Manhood, grounded in clear evidence that they have disproportionately been victims of systemic inequities, marginalization, violence, and incarceration. By addressing these barriers, we help them uplift their communities—from their own house to the White House—improving conditions for everyone and transforming the cost of neglect into an investment in hope, resilience, and lasting change.
If you are interested in getting involved with Philly Truce as mentor or mentee, feel free to contact them at salima@phillytruce.com or by phone at 267-458-7823.
