ArtistYear and our teaching-artist Fellows are coming together to bring their service and artistry out of the schoolhouse and into homes. They come from a variety of artists backgrounds – animators to painters, actors to ballet dancers – but what they have in common is the shared artistic spirit to creatively interpret the world around them and a dedication to serve the School District of Philadelphia students.

ArtistYear is providing 11 Arts learning Shows, each with 10 episodes over the coming months, via YouTube and PSTV to offer engaging, arts learning during this time of isolation. From “Theater of Circumstance”, “How to Cover a Song”, and “The CHA CHA Dance Show: Connecting Human Aesthetics to Creative Health Awareness” , to “Bite-Sized Art History”, “The Write Time: Journaling” and “The School of Sketch”, students will have the opportunity to engage, access supplemental learning resources, and upload content with parental permission.
