Due to the forecasted inclement weather, all School District of Philadelphia schools will be closed Wednesday, February 20, 2019. All District administrative offices will close at 12 noon on Wednesday. All after-school activities including all athletic programs and professional development sessions scheduled for Wednesday are canceled as well. All District early childhood centers will also be closed. All School District building engineers are to report for work at their normal start time.
The General Accounting department is a customer service focused team that provides timely and accurate financial information to key stakeholders while protecting the School District’s assets and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations from a financial and fiduciary vantage point. The General Accounting department is happy to support all district schools and central offices to ensure the activities proposed and resources requested reflect sound judgment and support the School District’s anchor goals. We also implement and monitor strong internal control policies and procedures to provide reasonable assurance that the School District can meet its operational objectives.
