Dear School District of Philadelphia Parents and Families,

The Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH) continues to indicate that COVID-19 case counts in Philadelphia have remained consistently low. This decline in positive cases has resulted in zero school closures over the past several weeks, signaling a welcome shift toward a sense of normalcy within our School District community. Because of this positive progress, the Division of Food Services will close the remaining 12 meal distribution sites after today, Friday, March 18, 2022.

If a rise in positive COVID cases occurs and a District school is instructed to teach students virtually, the Division of Food Services will distribute breakfast and lunch daily at the school, starting the following day from 9:00-11:00 am. Meals will be distributed daily until the school resumes normal in-person instruction. Any family that continues to require daily meal support should visit www.phila.gov/food to find information about the meal sites that are operated by the City of Philadelphia.

We are grateful to have been able to provide this service to the Philadelphia community and will continue to do our very best to support our students and meet their nutritional needs.

Sincerely,

The School District of Philadelphia

Operations Division
